The what now, with the what, and huh?
Here in OZ we call it tomato sauce or Dead Horse because we have this silly slang thing..
Have a Captain Cook..to have a look
Hit the Frog and Toad..to go for a drive
etc etc
Slang..idioms..
So, like, um...
"The hired assassin hit the frog and toad with his mark."
Or...
"The police had a Captain Cook at the scene of the crime."
That's probably incorrect use of idiom, right?
The hired assassin hit the frog and toad (road) after hitting his mark..
and the other one was correct..
I stayed in a hotel in Anchorage called the "Capt. Cook"...very nice...who was he anyway???
They don't teach you any history except American history in you schools, huh?
Like I can remember that far back LOL
Capt Cook was an English explorer. He claimed Australia back in 1788 for the British Empire before the french could claim it.
And I'll bet they call it L'ostrelie ANYWAY!
